Dog training consists of teaching your dog positions and basic instructions; these will ensure security and adaptability to your daily city or suburban life. All members of your household, humans and pets, need to adjust to eachother and I am here to help!
As a positive dog trainer, I work in collaboration with you and your dog and I provide you with exercices based on games and rewards, which will higher all happy hormones in your dog’s brain. As a result, your dog will want to relive these experiences, not because he is forced to, but because he choses to.
All dogs have a go-to reward, where it’s food, a toy, a tone of voice they like, going outside, being pet, and we will use his favourite one.
As in my dog behaviorist profession, I don’t use force, pain, yelling, dominance, or intimidation.
On top of working on the long term, this education will build your dog self-confidence and will tighten the relationship you have with your furry friend.
Private lessons allow dogs to evolve quicker because I take his rythm, personality, age and his own capacities into account.
« There is no « one size fits all » in dog training and behaviorism; it’s all tailor-made »
All educational sessions are private lessons given at your home, or by videoconference in areas I don’t serve.
Puppies are usually adopted at 8 weeks old. I will give you advice on ow to best welcome him, making sure everything is there so he can meet his needs. This period of time is crucial for building his resilience: a dog needs security, confort, heat, food, love and respect, games, socialization, exercise.
At this age, it is important for him to explore the world, keeping in mind not all puppies are the same; some are shy, some are not, so it is important to take their personality into account when socializing them.
If the puppy shows signs of fear or concern, there is no need for flooding them with too much information. Let’s respect each dog’s rhythm.
I will teach you how to make your dog sit, stay, stay, walk on the leash, leave or drop something he has in his mouth, potty training and any other basic knowledge you will need for everybody’s comfort and security.
I do not practice obedience, which is a discipline consisting of requiring your dog to obey to any kind of command, no matter how long the session is, no matter the environment and the physical and mental state of the dog. It is against my ethics.
