Dog trainer

My method

Dog training, taught by a dog trainer, involves teaching your dog basic positions and learning skills; these will ensure safety and flexibilty in your daily urban life, which involves arrangements from all members of the family, both two-legged and four-legged!

As a positive dog trainer, I work together with you and your dog and I provide you with tailor-made exercises based on games and rewards. These activities release happiness hormones in your dog, naturally encouraging them to repeat commands not because they are obliged to do so, but by choice.

All dogs have a go-to reward, whether it’s food, a toy, a tone of voice they like, going outside, being pet, and we will use his favourite one.

In both my roles as a dog behaviorist and a dog trainer, I do not employ force, dominance theory, or intimidation.
On top of working on the long term, this education will build your dog self-confidence and will tighten the relationship you have with your furry friend.

Private lessons with a certified dog trainer allow the dog to progress faster and more efficiently; I do take your dog’s pace, personality, age, and individual abilities into account to respect every individual’s uniqueness.

« There is no « one size fits all » in dog training and behaviorism; it’s all tailor-made »

How can I help you as a certified dog trainer?

All educational sessions are private lessons taking place at your or by videoconference in areas I don’t cover.

01

Dog training and puppy socialisation

Puppies are usually adopted at 8 weeks old. I will give you advice on ow to best welcome him, making sure everything is there so he can meet his needs. This period of time is crucial for building his resilience: a dog needs security, confort, heat, food, love and respect, games, socialization, exercise.

At this age, it is important for him to explore the world, keeping in mind not all puppies are the same; some are shy, some are not, so it is important to take their personality into account when socializing them.
If the puppy shows signs of fear or concern, there is no need for flooding them with too much information. Let’s respect each dog’s rhythm.

02

Basic commands for puppies and adult dogs

I will teach you how to make your dog sit, stay, stay, walk on the leash, leave or drop something he has in his mouth, potty training and any other basic knowledge you will need for everybody’s comfort and security.

I do not practice obedience, which is a discipline consisting of requiring your dog to obey to any kind of command, no matter how long the session is, no matter the environment and the physical and mental state of the dog. It is against my ethics as a positive dog trainer.
